Background
15mtr x 12.5mtr x 4.5mtr temporary building
Having been on our database for a number of years, Keith Ward called us to quote for additional on-site storage space.
He was using off-site storage space but finding the cost of movement and management was adding a considerable (hidden amount) to the overall cost, making the entire process very expensive.
Solution
We were asked to supply a ‘like for like’ estimate for a 15mtr x 12.5mtr 4.5mtr temporary building for him to compare against two other estimates he’d received.
As the goods to be stored are low value items which are not susceptible to temperature fluctuations, we agreed in the interests of cost-saving to supply the temporary building with non-insulated PVC fabric roof and non-insulated 0.7mm steel wall cladding.
However, to improve access and efficiency, he opted for a rapid rise, fast action roller shutter door which is operated by a floor loop sensor to enable access without the need for manual operation.
Result
The temporary building was delivered and installed in three days from start to finish and has provided the additional space to enable Contract Bottling to cancel their off-site storage contract.
