Glasgow
Kia Motors (UK) Ltd and Phoenix both wanted to have a Kia dealer in Glasgow.
A traditional build was c£300k minimum. Given that Phoenix may have to surrender the lease on the site and relocate within 3 years, writing off £300k over 3 years was not a viable option.

Hire a Temporary Building or Buy - How Do You Decide?

“The Fast, Flexible And Economical Way To Solve All Your Short-Term
Or Temporary Space Need
In 21 Days Or Less”
If you're unsure as to whether it's going to suit you best to either hire a temporary building or buy a re-locatable temporary building, this information will help
Designed to be installed in a matter of days, yet manufactured to meet all the necessary standards for wind speed and snow loading, there’s probably no faster or easier way to get the space you want, for a quick-fix temporary need.
Especially if you don’t want a big capital outlay, or you want the security of knowing you can get rid of it, if and when your circumstances change.
Because with this particular design of building, there are two options we can offer you,
- You can either hire one from stock – on the most flexible terms you can imagine – and have it installed in just 7 – 21 days from order.
- Or, you can buy one, which we will fabricate in-house in the size and specification you want – and which, we will happily buy back from you, if you ever finish with it.
How do you decide which option is best though? Simply, if you are going to use the building for three or more years, it’s going to be well worth looking closely at the purchase option because if you hire it for any longer, you could end up paying more in hire charges than you would had you have bought it.
As well as which, you’ll at least have an asset to sell at the end – if and when you want to get rid of it..
Because if you do buy, and you get to a point where you no longer need it, we offer buy-back prices based on predicted future values to enable you to recoup a good chunk of the money you paid in the first place, to buy it…..
However, if know you’re only going to want the building for up to two years, or if you don’t want the capital outlay of buying, or if you want the flexibility to get rid of it at a moment’s notice, you’re going to really like our ‘friendly’ hire terms.
Because our hire terms are structured to enable you to literally pay as you go, without paying a single penny up front – before the building’s installed - or having to sign any contracts whereby you to HAVE to keep it – or HAVE to pay a huge premium to get rid of it….
It’s really a case of which option is going to suit your operational and financial needs best, so to help you consider the advantages of either option.
When you hire:
- There are no up-front payments for you to make before installation:
Why pay up front for it – and then rent in advance? Wouldn’t you rather pay after you’re happy with the installed building, then pay as you go? - There are no hidden charges whatsoever.
What you see on the quote is what you pay. - There’s no minimum period hire contract for you to sign or commit to.
A big advantage in today’s uncertain climate, wouldn’t you agree? - You hire the building weekly until you finish with it.
You do not need to keep or pay for the building for a day longer than you need - You give us just seven days notice to remove it and that terminates the hire.
- The machinery and plant hire for installation is included in the price, so there are no hidden extras.
- You are covered by our ‘fanatical service pledge’ call out guarantee.
This means if you report damage or request a call-out, and we are not there when we say we’ll be there, you get a week’s free hire - guaranteed.
Whereas, when you buy:
- You get a brand new building and accessories rather than a building and accessories taken from stock.
- You can specify your building with either non-insulated PVC fabric roof and 0.5mm steel wall panels, or thermo-insulated PVC fabric roof and 40mm insulated walls.
And you get your predicted future value buy-back figures right at the beginning so you’ll know how much you can expect to re-coup if you decide to sell it.
“We’ll Even Buy It Back If You No Longer Need It”
Best of all, if you ever find at any point in future you no longer need the building, you can relax knowing it’s a win-win situation for you.
You see, we will buy the building back from you at any point in the future, should you decide you no longer want it – AND – at a price which makes ownership even more cost-effective.
Which means, when you actually subtract the predicted future value figures from the original purchase price, whether it’s at two years, or longer, you’ll see the REAL VALUE of a Smart-Space temporary Building.
To give you an example: If you were to sell a building which cost £48957.85, back to us after four years, and you had an insulated model, we would pay you £9791.57, which means over the four year period; you would have paid a total sum of £39166.28 for the building, which works out at just £9791.57 per year!!
Let’s face it: You couldn’t even hire a barn in the Highlands of Scotland for that money! And it’s for this reason; Smart-Space Temporary Buildings really do represent amazing value for money.
Added to which, you have my personal guarantee my team and I will do EVERYTHING possible to make it all happen as quickly and smoothly as possible, and be on hand to support you on an ongoing basis when you’re up and running too.
